Who We Are

Jesus in Jail is an outreach with many ministries. These ministries include "bringing the Good News to the poor", through the preaching of the gospel and distribution of bibles, "comforting the brokenhearted", by reaching out to youth at risk, including those involved in the juvenile justice system, ministering to those who may be incarcerated or facing incarceration, and probation or parole, and providing a hope by "announcing that captives will be released and prisoners will be freed", whether they are literally, physically behind bars or in a "prison of their own", suffering with all kinds of addiction, oppressed by poverty, homelessness, lifestyle choices, or struggling with loneliness and depression. This is done in accordance with Isaiah 61:1-2, "The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is upon me, for the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the poor. He has sent me to comfort the brokenhearted and to proclaim that captives will be released and prisoners freed."  â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹
